In October 2011 the town center of Vernazza was hit by flash flooding and also the area of Liguria was devastated by the colossal water damage. Fortunately the districts MURO and SAN BERNARDINO, where some of our apartments are located on the hiking trail, remained unaffected by the flood waters. The town of Vernazza is rebuilding its infrastructure and will need some time to do so. For this reason we recommend LEVANTO (also untouched by the flooding) as the starting point for your holiday, your hiking trips and excursions into the CINQUE TERRE (five land).
